Are you looking for a way to simplify and streamline your B2B/A2A and B2G integration process? Do you want to create integration content faster and easier? Do you want to leverage the power of crowd-based machine learning and shared content? If yes, then you should check out SAP Integration Advisor, a cloud application that can help you achieve all these goals and more.
What is SAP Integration Advisor?
SAP Integration Advisor is a cloud application that helps you implement your B2B/A2A and B2G integration process with ease. It allows you to create integration content based on industry standards or your own custom messages. It also enables you to manage and share your content with other users who have similar business needs. By using SAP Integration Advisor, you can reduce the time and effort required to create and deploy integration content by up to 60%.
How does SAP Integration Advisor work?
SAP Integration Advisor consists of three main components: type systems, custom type systems, and message implementation guidelines. Let’s take a look at each of them in detail.
Type Systems
Type systems are collections of message templates that follow the B2B/A2A/B2G standards. These standards are developed and maintained by various agencies, such as SAP SE, ANSI ASC X12, and others. Type systems provide you with a ready-made template for implementing your B2B integration, as long as you and your business partners use the same standards for your business messages.
You can browse the library of type systems and select the one that suits your scenario. For example, if you want to exchange invoices with your business partner using the SAP IDoc standard, you can choose the type system SAP IDoc and find the message template for invoices.
To learn more, see Library of Type Systems.
Custom Type Systems
Custom type systems are collections of message templates that you create based on your own message structures. You can use custom type systems when you have proprietary messages, extended messages, or messages from B2B standards that are not available in SAP Integration Advisor.
You can upload your custom interface xsd files and create message templates from them. You can then use these templates to create message implementation guidelines and mapping guidelines.
To learn more, see Custom Type Systems.
Message Implementation Guidelines
Message implementation guidelines, or MIGs, are customized message interfaces that you use as the source or target in a mapping guideline (MAG) of SAP Integration Advisor. You create a MIG by selecting a message template from a type system or a custom type system and modifying it according to your business requirements.
A MIG contains all the information you need to implement a message interface, such as the structure, data types, cardinalities, validations, and documentation. By providing a MIG, you ensure that everyone involved in the integration process has a clear and consistent understanding of the message interface.
